Since your space may not be the biggest, do not sweat the decorations. Less is more in this case. Maybe a glass vase filled with ornaments or simply bright accent pillows on the couch. Something subtle will be festive without overwhelming the space.

Small bites are a great way to allow everyone who you invited to get a taste of your delectable food. A cheese platter can take your food from average to fancy in mere minutes. Try different types of cheese paired with fruit, crackers or bread, and even imported meats.

Here is where you can have a little fun. If there is a drink you know is a favorite amongst the group you’re hosting, why not make it the signature drink of the night? The Internet is filled with so many different drink recipes. Make them as soon as your guests walk in the door or in advanced and make them a part of your table decorations.

Turkey Toast

The turkey is the pièce de résistance of any Thanksgiving meal but how do you serve it when everyone can’t fit around the dinner table? I would suggest using your kitchen’s countertop as a buffet. Have all of your sides and accompaniments together so no one misses out on any goodies. Since your cooking space may be limited, try adding items that don’t have to be cooked to your menu. Also, finding a few good crock-pot recipes might be ideal since the centerpiece of the meal (the turkey) is going to take up your oven for quite a few hours.

Just remember that even if your turkey isn’t moist or you run out of wine, it doesn’t really matter when you’re surrounded with loved ones.

Happy Thanksgiving from the entire Garden Communities family.
