The whole family can enjoy the annual, alcohol-free Children’s Gasparilla Extravaganza, which proudly features the Preschooler’s Stroll, Children’s Parade, Gasparilla Treasures™, and more. After walking through the various event areas, you and the family can line the streets to enjoy the children’s parade. Featuring 100+ floats, complete with dancers, bands, and plenty of pirates, the Children’s Parade begins at Bay-to-Bay Boulevard and Bayshore ending along Edison Avenue. Don’t miss this a family-friendly parade that is appropriate for all ages!

Gasparilla Pirate Fest

The Gasparilla Pirate Fest is the biggest event of the season! First, watch as “Jose Gasparilla” and hundreds of his swashbucklers invade the shores of Tampa Bay with their pirate ships. Next, enjoy the festivities while the entire Mystic Krewe takes over the city during the Parade of Pirates. Four miles long, the Gasparilla Parade of Pirates is the third largest parade in the country and seen by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. You can opt for reserved seating ($45-$60) or line the streets and enjoy the invasion for free!

Sant’ Yago Knight Parade

Parade: 6:30pm

Perhaps the most wild of all of the Gasparilla events, the Sant’ Yago Knight Parade is an adult event that features tons of illuminated floats. Starting at Nuccio Street and ending at 23rd, the Sant’ Yago Knight Parade extends down the length of 7th Avenue in historic Ybor City. While the event is free, bleacher seats for preferred viewing are often available. Once the parade is over, meet up with some friends at any of Ybor’s hot nightspots. From bars and restaurants to dance clubs, outdoor music and more, there is plenty to do when you party with the Krewe.

Since 1978, the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association has been able to donate $3.9 million dollars to various charitable youth organizations. Come support their efforts by signing up for the 5k, 8k, 15k, half marathon, stroller races or any of their other distance events. Register now!

Drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, the Gasparilla Festival of the Arts has been an annual event since 1970.
