Indian Harbour Beach is one of the youngest cities in Florida, as it was originally founded by W. Lansing Gleason, John H. Neafie, and Louis S. Henry on June 6, 1955. The city was originally formed to create a community for staff members who worked at the Kennedy Space Center just a few miles north. Nowadays, it has a much larger presence as a residential community.
Thanks to its pristine conditions, Indian Harbour Beach was rated the third best city to live in for the state of Florida. One reason for this is its ideal location, as it is nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. The city’s small size, along with its great views of the ocean, make it an ideal location for anyone looking for a relaxing place to live.
